I don't like to get hit in the face, do you?

Probably not, but some guys do. They are called hockey enforcers and they have a job to do, kind of like you and me. They are paid to promote and sell a product or service; in this case the game of hockey is the service and the product is the top goal scorer on the team.

Point being, they need to hit someone to do their job and you know what? GOOD, that's why people pay $125 plus $7 for a beer to watch hockey. It's not to see guys in pads skating up and down the ice, once in a while scoring and patting each other on the head.

No, we go to see a fight break out. And you know why? We don't like getting hit in the face ourselves. (See my opening line. You will learn to just read my opening line for now on and then go get something to eat, that's my entire post summary). I would rather see someone else get hit, to get my juices flowing and go spend money.

Bottom line - hockey fighting is good for the economy. And my face.
