Bowe's actions pretty gutsy

There have always been stories of groupies following around famous people no matter where they go, which even apply to athletes.

Kansas City Chief wide receiver Dwayne Bowe’s actions revealing this dark side of the National Football League took a lot of guts.

According to ESPN The Magazine, via Pro Football Talk, Bowe stated, “You hear stories about groupies hanging out in hotel lobbies, but some of my teammates had it set up so there was a girl in every room. The older guys get on MySpace and Facebook a week before we go to a city; when a pretty one writes back, they arrange to fly her in three or four days in advance. They call it importing.”

Bowe continues with, “Younger guys don’t have the money to do it,” Bowe added. “Anyway, these girls had the whole top floor. They know everything about us — first and last names, sisters and brothers, salary. This one girl was talking to me like she’d known me for years. ‘Hey, D-Bowe, how’s Grandma?’ I’m like, ‘How do you know my grandma?’ She knew that I talk about her every time I’m interviewed for a story.”

Bowe went on to state that he had a girlfriend and paints an obvious picture that he wasn’t comfortable with this.

So, why come out with this now? The reason is that Bowe has established himself as a solid wide receiver, which means he will get chances to play elsewhere.

If he would have stated that in his rookie season there is a good chance he isn’t in the National Football League.

The big question is does the payment of their airfare, hotel, and food constitue as soliciting a prostitute?

In the end, If it does than a lot of Chief players are going to be in trouble if they used a credit card in their name.
