Scott Dixon continues to lead practice as of Wednesday at the Brickyard.
Dixon posted a lap at 226.971 mph at a 39.65 around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Ryan Briscoe in the Penske car was second followed by Alex Tagliani, who continues to show promise running near the front. Hideki Mutoh driving for Newman/Haas was fourth and Dario Franchitti was in fifth.
Practice will continue Thursday and Friday, "Fast Friday," as drivers get ready for pole day on Saturday. And this year the format is different. Here are the practice results from Indianapolis Wednesday.
