The New England Way
One of the impressive aspects of the Patriots’ offense is its ability to sustain drives. However the question on everyone’s mind is: can the Patriots go 16-0 and win the Super Bowl?
Tom Brady, in my opinion, is the best Quarterback currently in the NFL. Only time will tell how he will adjust to that fact. Randy Moss meanwhile has become a prominent weapon for them offensively. If the Patriots continue playing like they have been, who knows, they might go all the way.
With Brady’s great passing game, Moss’ ability to score, and the rest of the weapons that the Patriots have, you never know who will beat the record of the 1972 Dolphins. The Patriots are on pace to score 657 points this season, which would break the NFL record set by the 1998 Vikings (556) in the same manner that Bill Belichick's team has been killing opponents. However there is a good chance the Patriots set the spot on December 16th against Eric Mangini's Jets.
In the Patriots’ win over the Colts a couple games ago, Tom Brady threw two of his three touchdown passes in a four minute time span in the forth quarter to overcome a 10 point deficit and beat the raining Super Bowl champions. The Patriots have scored 54 touchdowns, setting the Franchise record. Of the 10 premier games in the 718 game history of the franchise, four have come this season.
The Pats have gone three-and-out just 13.7 percent of the time, which is the second best in the NFL following the Colts. The Pats’ wide receiver Randy Moss is the AFC’S leading wideout, and the NFL’s fourth highest votegetter in pro bowl rankings.
The Patriots have also won four straight division titles, and have taken over five of the last six. With the Colts losing back-to-back games to AFC Opponents, the Patriots continue to destroy every opponent in their path and gain the upper hand in the AFC.
