Practice for the 94th running of the Indianapolis 500 Mile Race was rained out Monday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Rain throughout the day made it impossible for anyone to get on track for practice and drivers and teams only have a few days ahead to get ready for Saturday's Indianapolis 500 Pole Day at the Brickyard. This year qualifying and bump day are on the same weekend and drivers only have practice a limited number of days to prepare for the biggest race of the year, the Indianapolis 500.

Weather conditions look optimistic with a chance of showers and storms this week leading into Saturday and Sunday which will be busy days at the track. Helio Castroneves led this weekend's practice both days in the Penske car and looks to add a fourth win to his collection at the 500. Practice will resume Tuesday at noon weather permitting.
