Mike Pelfrey, the former first round pick out of Wichita State, is really coming into his own this year. Big Pelf is showing why the Mets made him their first round pick in 2005. He has gotten off to a very hot start in this 2010 season, where the question of whom the Mets number two pitcher would be. Pelf has defiantly earned the distinction of being the Mets second best pitcher. His most recent pitching performance was a gem against the hated Atlanta Braves; he went 7 and 2/3 innings giving up only 2 runs while getting the win. Even though his stat line was very impressive the most important part of his outing was that he stopped the losing streak the Mets were on.  He delivered a very clutch performance that the Mets surly needed. Let’s see if the Mets can continue with the momentum that Pelfrey has delivered them and go on a little roll.
