Wow. WWE's Great American Bash is this Sunday and the hype has been lacking at best. Nonetheless, here are The F-Bomb's predictions.
Matt Hardy (c) vs Shelton Benjamin: United States Title
This match was kind of thrown together, after Benjamin's non-title victory over Hardy. The booker in me says that Benjamin needs the title more than Mr. Hardy, considering Mark Henry needs a real challenge for the ECW title. However, WWE might want to have Henry destroy a few more wrestlers before his biggest threat to the gold.
Winner: Matt Hardy
John Morrison and The Miz (c) vs. Hornswoggle and Finlay vs. Jesse and Festus vs. Zach Ryder and Curt Hawkins: WWE Tag Titles
MNM 2.0 has been owned lately, when it comes to non-title matches. Yet, none of these teams are half as good in the ring or mic than Miz and Morrison. Okay, Finlay is awesome, but he should be gunning for the US or ECW title. It is good to have a four-way match to shake things up and build suspense. That's all this one will do. MNM 2.0 retains.
Winners: Miz and Morrison
Michelle McCool vs. Natalya: WWE Divas Title
This title belt is hideous. Nonetheless, there has to be a winner. Both women have made nice strides during their time. I expect Natalya to win and be what Victoria was in 2002 this year, which is be damn good with a bonafide mean streak.
Winner: Natalya
John Cena vs. JBL in an NYC Street Fight
This match was extremely personal with the just as extremely cheesy last segment of RAW. You know the one where Cena apparently got his head rammed into a car by another car and yeah...unbelievably, young Jonathan is alive. This feud needs to end and end now. I know Cena is already 2-0 against JBL this year, but there's no way WWE passes up a possible showdown with Batista or CM Punk at Summerslam.
Winner: John Cena
Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho
This feud has been unbelievably entertaining. Great ring work and promos have elevated this storyline head and shoulders above anything else WWE is booking right now. I still feel this feud has a lot of steam and as Jericho said, the worst is yet to come. Expect Y2J to win via cheating and interference from Lance Cade.....and possibly, former HBK-trained wrestler Paul London.
Winner: Chris Jericho
Mark Henry (c) vs. Tommy Dreamer: ECW World Title
Mark Henry has been on a roll, as the dominant monster heel of WWE's third brand. I'm sorry, Dreamer fans, but the man hasn't been a legit threat to any title since the original ECW. I expect either a good brawl or total squash. Hopefully the latter, so we can get more time for the matches that really matter.
Winner: Mark Henry
CM Punk (c) vs. Batista: World Heavyweight Title
This is definitely the most intriguing match on the card. On one hand, WWE could set up a huge money match for the title between Batista and John Cena. On the flip side, Punk's reign is still in infancy. Losing the title this soon may hurt Punk's heat. I'm really torn on this one, but I'll do my best. I'll say CM Punk and Batista put on a extremely hard fought match, with the champ barely escaping via a roll-up pin.
Winner: CM Punk
Triple H (c) vs Edge
This feud has been centered on Edge and Vickie Guerrero's drama. Hey Edge, at least she's not pregna...oh wait. Maybe I'm speaking too soon. Anyway, if WWE is gearing up for a major title change, it certainly won't be with this match. I think this will be a great match, but the lack of interaction between the opponents does not give me the impression that Edge will win. Sorry, Familia.
Winner: Triple H
There are my predictions. Agree? Agree to disagree? Feedback is always appreciated.

This has to be one of the predictable PPVs in a while. Your preditioncs are proably spot on, very similar to mine.

Bingo. MAYBE WWE is trying to fool us and will surprise us by something unpredictable. But probably not....
