Dear Cleveland faithful, I come to you today to guide you through this streaky process.
There are speculations out there of LeBron James possibly leaving the Cavs to play for the Knicks. To make speculations grow even more, the Cavaliers have stated that they will go through an "evaluation process" before deciding Mike Brown's fate—LeBron’s coach for the past five seasons.
On the sideline, they responded well together and I can’t remember a time when those two got into an argument, or even a heated discussion. Now with that said, are the Cavs in even more trouble?
There are many teams out there a part of this LeBron Mania. The Knicks, Nets, Pistons, Portland, Cavaliers, Bulls, and Mavericks are all teams with reported interest, or could possibly land the star.
Well as many have already begun, it’s time for me to speculate!
I'm going to tell you the tools the teams will need, a special video and who will acquire him.
Enjoy...
Team Chemistry
In Cleveland, the one thing that mattered to them the most besides winning was having fun.
If you wanted to win games, and have fun at the same time, the Cavaliers environment was the best place for you. Sort of like the Jets' sideline in football. They had happy players with talent across the roster that won games and had fun doing it.
For a team to acquire LeBron, they need to have this same kind of mentality. A fun environment that wins games as well.
Best case: New York Knicks
Worst case: Chicago Bulls
Compliments
As many would speculate that money is the biggest reason to draw Lebron away from the Cavs, I’d have to say they were wrong.
As much as I believe he is going to be thrown one of the most outstanding contracts that eyes can believe, money is going to come second to the teams standing.
What I mean by that is, James is in search for a championship. If it was up to James today as of who he should sign with I think Cleveland wins him over.
Simply put, the Knicks have the most money. If they can acquire some big superstars to help get Lebron a ring, they would be considered in the driver seat. Or simply he joins his man, Jay-Z’s team in the big apple.
Whoever the team is, they need complimentary players to help Lebron get a ring. Whether he decides to go or stay.
Best case: Dallas Mavericks
Worst case: Chicago Bulls
Endorsements/Money
LeBron James is a two-time MVP, and arguably the best player ever to play the game of basketball.
James is not sub-par superstar; he is a superior athlete with superior talent that requires a huge price tag that only so many teams can match.
Knicks right now are the frontrunner with the money, and if he was to leave the Cavaliers for possible any team in the New York area can you imagine the endorsements that’ll follow?
If he was to leave the Cavaliers that would most likely solidify him as the highest paid athlete. If you include the salary and endorsements.
Best Case: New Jersey Nets
Worst Case: Detroit Pistons
Be in Contention for the Playoffs
As I said before the team LeBron is going to go to should be in contention in the playoffs.
I just can’t imagine him leaving the Cavaliers for a team that isn’t even going to smell the playoffs.
That doesn’t necessarily mean you can rule the New York teams out either.
The Knicks have tons of money they can use to possibly surround LeBron in ways that Cleveland couldn’t—same with the Nets.
The teams are going to need to have a contending roster or acquire one if they expect LeBron James to leave Cleveland.
Best case: New York Knicks
Worst case: New Jersey Nets
Who Lands him...
Check this video out to see how much Cleveland fans don't want to see him leave.
But even after this video i can tell you he decision is going to be strictly business. However, the list has been trimmed and the team that acquires LeBron James will be..
Cleveland Cavaliers
As much as everybody wants to speculate that Lebron is going to be a New York Knick I don’t believe that’s true. The main focus of everybody topic of why James should be a Knick is based on the city, and personal interest.
Well time to get off of that because in my opinion Lebron James won’t be heading anywhere. He will be in a Cavaliers uniform next season.
The money is great, but history and the Cleveland fans seem like they’re more important to Lebron than money.
I’m sure to make up the contract, he can land any endorsements he pleases.
The team chemistry is great, and this gives the Cavaliers another year to possibly pull some strings and surround him with better talent.
