Theirry Henry To MLS?

Brian KellyCorrespondent IMay 14, 2010

For all your MLS fans out there, I think the moment of truth has come.

I have heard all the rumors that Thierry Henry will end his career in the US for a MLS payout.

It looks like we might have more publicity on our beloved soccer in the States. We really want our league in the US to get big and become a competitor with the Europe and Spanish teams.

The MLS will one day be able to compete with theses teams and only with players like Henry coming to the league. Also players like Beckham and Ljungberg have brought exposure to MLS.

It has appeared that Thierry Henry has signed a preliminary contract agreement with the New York Red Bulls, according to The Suns, UK. He has stated that he wouldn't mind playing in New York but he wants to get a Champions League Title.

Thierry Henry has gotten average playing time for Barcelona and would clearly be a starter in the MLS. He would bring great publicity to the US league and could alter older veteran players decision to retire in the States.
