Following the announcement, Joe showed that the ‘T’ in Booker T now stood for target as he ambushed the Houston native and threw him into the back of an ambulance at the end of the show.
But Joe wasn’t the only one making an impact on Thursday night. Beer Money (James Storm and Robert Roode) was getting revenge on everyone over the events of the Fan’s Revenge Match.
They took out production crew, TNA Superstars, security, announcers and even fans. Their punishment: A Strap Match against the Motor City Machine Guns next week on IMPACT!
Taylor Wilde survived Awesome Kong at Victory Road and retained the Knockouts Championship. Now a new challenger has emerged from the Knockouts: Velvet Sky.
For months, we have wondered if the Beautiful People should be taken seriously. Next week, Sky has a chance to end the Golden Dreams of Wilde and become champion in the process.
But Wilde won’t be alone, as The Monster Abyss was the hero of Victory Road when he saved her from Kong and Raisha Saeed on Sunday.
Controversy provides ratings, and TNA has plenty of that lately. Kurt Angle and Team 3D came out to welcome Sting into their “club.” Angle went on to say that this was imminent because Sting had had enough of giving and not receiving.
Unfortunately for Team Angle, they didn’t plan on a surprise appearance from AJ Styles, Christian Cage, and Rhino.
Team Styles went on to make a blockbuster match for next week’s IMPACT! It will be all six men in a five-way elimination tables match. But that’s not the only shocker that will happen next week.
According to Angle, Sting will be in the corner of Angle next week. Also, he told Tomko to crash Karen Angle’s talk show debut.
Friday Night SmackDown!
SmackDown! was all about the nuptials of Edge and Vickie as well as momentum going into this Sunday’s Great American Bash.
The show started hitting a skid when the Big Show was punished for going through with the match last week against Edge. It was a true battle of the Giants as he faced two of the men who are considered unstoppable on SmackDown: The Great Khali and Vladimir Kozlov.
But Edge was out to make sure that everyone gave respect to the power couple, and those who didn’t give respect were to feel their wrath. After screwing Finlay and Hornswoggle, the Rated R Superstar led an all-out mugging on The Hardyz in the main event.
But the biggest problem for the power couple came at the end of the night as the WWE Champion, Triple H, came bearing gifts for Edge and Vickie.
The Game brought a video of Edge and the couple’s wedding planner Alicia Fox having a conversation about the events of Friday. He also brought a pair of Vickie’s parachute undies to display to the crowd in Charlotte.
As Edge’s henchmen started to approach the champion, Triple H unveiled another gift for La Familia: His trusty sledgehammer.
At the end of the video, Edge and Fox started making things hot and heavy in his hotel room much to the surprise of everyone. Vickie was left screaming and crying in the ring as her new husband booked it out of arm’s reach of his flustered bride.
