Sticking with the spirit of Big Head's gambling post a few inches down, Vegas has released the opening point spreads for the first week of college football games. It has Mizzou listed as a 7 1/2 point favorite over Illinois.

I'm taking the over on that one. Maybe I'll get more nervous as August 30 rolls around but right now I fully expect Mizzou to handle the Illini.

Maybe that sounds cocky,  but  I'm positive every single member of the football team has at least heard about the U of I morons chanting BCS after they beat Missouri in basketball at Scottrade Center. That was true bulletin board material.

I'd have paid a lot of money to have been able to see the smirk Gary Pinkel was wearing as he listened to those clowns chanting around the court.

After all, it's It's very often that bulletin board material's been giftwrapped for you in a basketball game.
