NBA, Chicago Bulls, Derrick Rose, Preview/Prediction

For the gamblers, place your bets. For the non-believers, set your DVRs. And for everyone else, enjoy the ride! This kid is a special talent.

People keep saying that Derek Rose isn't ready for the league. Just ask Kobe, LeBron, K.G., Kevin Durant, or Deron Williams about the same criticism. I'm not saying Rose is like any of those guys, but who's to say that he's not?

It is my opinion that he may not be a franchise player (although he could be), but he is the first step in the right direction for the Bulls.

Once he gets settled at this level, he will become an impact player in the sense that he'll create chances for other players around him. He'll make other players better by giving us that explosive floor-general we've been looking for.

You can look for players like Ty Thomas, Ben Gordan, and Joakim Noah to be better with the presence of Rose. Gordon and Noah will benefit from Derek's ability to break down defences. Ty Thomas will be able to use his athletic ability to play above the rim (the kid jumps out of the gym) and he'll benefit the same way Gordon and Noah will.

I don't think we've had the chance to see the youthful athletics the Bulls posses. I think with Rose's style of play and Vinnie Del-Negro's philosophy of letting players showcase their talents we will see a very different and exciting version of our young Bulls.
