A little road trip here to the beginning of the season. Sometimes the trip can be long and tiresome. You get the kids yelling, "Are we there yet?" several times in the drive to the destination!
The trip through to the beginning of the season can be just as long and tiresome.
In the first stretch of the drive, you have to go through training camp, which can be exciting for the fans who can attend. But for those who can't attend, they are left to rely on internet, ESPN, or any other source of information. They are the ones in the back saying, "Are we there yet?"
It can be exciting just for the fact that the season is near. They can see the signs that they are getting closer!!
The next stretch, you drive into the sometime dull and painful part of the drive. You find ways to make it exciting. There are actually games playing and it just helps keep you awake and alert. The kids could be in back playing a game of "I Spy" or trying to read the different personalized license plates.
In the football season, it can be the same way. We do have games to get our excitement to help us finish our long trip. These games do fill your need for some football, but they can be somewhat boring and meaningless. They only play the regulars for maybe a quarter or sometimes even less.
The excitement builds up more! Just think, after these last four stops, the regular season starts and we have finally finished this long trip to the regular season!!
September 7, 2008. Cowboys arrive to play the Cleveland Browns!! Yeah!! Now a whole new trip starts to a new destination...Super Bowl!!
I have been waiting for the season to start! Just think...six weeks the season starts. What are you looking for until then? Are you getting fired up and feeling good about the season? Let's get prepared, we are going to have a great season!!
