Madden curse alive and well

Pittsburgh Steelers Safety Troy Polamalu played in only five games last year due to various knee injuriesand according to ProFootballTalk.com if he would have played before fully healing and suffered an injury his career would have been over..

With Polamalu appearing on the cover of Madden 2o10 prior to last season it means that the Madden Curse is alive and well.

Ever since 1999 when Electronic Arts started putting players on the cover of Madden players who have appeared on it have had their play that year decline, thus the Madden Curse.

The exception being Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald as he didn’t miss any games last year.

In the end, there will always be the Madden Curse as EA selects players after they had a stellar season and it is extremely hard to have solid back to back seasons.
