Reddan has stepped in to be the new scrum half for the Irish national rugby team, but the real question is: Can he be as good as Stringer was?

Eoin Reddan is lightning quick and has show the ability to score tries when he wants to with the wasps. This has made him a fan favorite and a vital player in the chase for the Heineken cup. He is a fun player to watch.Eoin has shown some leadership also being a fill in captain for the wasps. He truly is a rising star.

Peter Stringer is a more conventional scrum half. He has a cannon of a pass and can read the game as well as anyone. His understanding exceeds that of Reddan so it makes up for his running disadvantage. However, he seems to be more of a clutch player. He led Munster to the Heineken cup final and scored a crucial try. This makes it a difficult decision because of how competitive Stringer is and the fire he brings in his belly.

So it all came down to veteran vs new guy, explosive s. wiley, and in the end it seems Ireland has put their stake in Reddan. Lets pray for the best!
