The Chicago Bears roster stands at 80 with Chris Williams unsigned.
This is what Chris Williams's agent had to say "We have exchanged dialogue and proposals," Johnson said Thursday. "I respect the Bears' diligence in working toward a timely resolution, particularly with training camp right around the corner."
It has been reported that Chris Williams, the No. 14 overall pick, will sign a five-year contract, with $9 million guaranteed.
COLLEGE CAREER:
Chris Williams was a Four-year letter winner at Vanderbilt (2004-2007), appearing in 36 games at left tackle and left guard.
He finished his college career with 33 consecutive starts, starting all 24 contests over his junior and senior season at left tackle, while just allowing two sacks in that time-span.
He received first team all-SEC honors as a senior, second team all-SEC accolades as a junior, as well as being two-time recipient of Vanderbilt’s Most Valuable Offensive Lineman Award.
The only two players the Chicago Bears are worried about have to be Brian Urlacher and Devin Hester.
The Bears training camp starts in five days.

Jake, I think they may anounce the deal as early as tomorrow. Angelo usually does a good job of getting his picks signed, other than Ced Benson, who failed at everything else too.
