Orlando Scandrick, rookie cornerback selected in the fifth round of the draft, signed a four year/$1.85 million contract with a $185,000 signing bonus.
Earlier in the day, he changed agents from David Canter to Ron Slavin of BTI Sports Advisors.
This is a good step for the Cowboys in getting started in these rookie signings.
I expect him to be primarily used in special teams, but may see some time in different defensive packages.
Some people have said he outplayed Mike Jenkins, the Cowboys first round pick, in the OTAs. To me, how do you outplay someone in helmet and shorts? Both are learning the NFL game.
It will be an interesting training camp with some good position battles.
Here is Scout.com's profile on Scandrick. They have him ranked as the #13 rookie cornerback in the league. On an interesting note about Mike Jenkins, they have him ranked as the #1 rookie cornerback.

I agree with you, I have read alot about how Jenkins looks bad in OTA's and it makes me lol. Besides, Adam will start as soon as he is reinstated, and he Jenkins will fight A.Henry for a nickle spot.
Things look good at corner for the future...
