I know how to save the Divas and women's wrestling in general. Let them have more matches with men. Yes, I am serious. I'm not talking crazy here. Intergender wrestling may not be that common, but it is a possibility and it is a way to save a dying division in the WWE.
Let us make the Divas Championship into a real Intergender Championship.
Chyna
Chyna is one of the most successful women to compete in intergender matches. She was a three time intercontinental champion and was in the Royal Rumble. Chyna is a perfect example of how women and men can wrestle each other in a serious manner.
Madusa
Madusa was a one time WCW Cruiserweight Champion and the first woman to have held that title. She ripped off the dress of Oklahoma in an Evening Gown Match to win the title.
Jacqueline
Jacqueline held the WWE Cruiserweight championship. Jacqueline was also the first woman to be included in the annual list of 500 best wrestlers which was published by Pro Wrestling Illustrated.
Trish Stratus
Trish Stratus was a one time WWE Hardcore Champion by pinning Crash Holly. She did not hold the title for very long and lost it moments later to Steven Richards.
Andy Kaufman: Intergender Champion
Andy Kaufman, the self-proclaimed Intergender Champion, wrestled women on a regular basis. He would offer $1000 to any woman that could pin him. He would later fued with Jerry "the King" Lawler.
Beth Phoenix
Beth Phoenix, the current women's champion, could easily be the next Chyna. She had a feud and wrestled against "Santina" the so-called twin sister of Santino. Ok, perhaps not the best of fueds, but it shows that it can be done. Phoenix was also a surprise entrant in the latest Royal Rumble.
Now is the time for the Intergender Title
Now is the time for WWE to take a serious look at intergender wrestling. This will be something different and fun to watch. Fresh fueds can be made up and there are endless possibilities on the future of the Intergender Championship.
