Here's a quick run-down of the Ottawa Senators' notable match-ups for next season. If you are a die-hard Sens' fan, grab a pen and circle the following dates on your calendar:

Oct. 4th/5th: Two-game series in Stockholm, Sweden vs. Pittsburgh Penguins

Oct. 11th: Home-opener vs. defending Stanley Cup Champion Detroit Red Wings

Nov. 1st: Senators travel to Tampa Bay to face the Lightning with first-overall pick Steve Stamkos in the lineup

Nov. 4th: Current Art Ross and Hart Trophy winner Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals face the Sens at the Scotiabank Place

Nov. 22nd: Wade Redden makes his first appearance in Ottawa wearing a New York Rangers' uniform

Dec. 23rd - Jan. 10th: Eight-game road trip featuring stops in Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver (2009 WJHC to take place at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa)

Jan 24th/25th: 2009 All-Star Game and Skills Competition to take place in Montreal, QC

Feb. 24th - Mar. 11th: Eight-game home stand, longest stretch for the season

Apr. 11th - Regular season showdown vs. arch rival Toronto Maple Leafs at the Air Canada Centre.

Apr. 15th - Playoffs begin
