Bob Papa, what does that name come to mind when you read it or hear it? Yes, he is the New York Giants radio network announcer. Yes, he is a host on a few shows on NFL Radio 124 for Sirius Satellite Radio. Yes, he was a play-by-play announcer for NFL Europe/Europa for NFL Network.

Now, you can add one more job to the list. He is going to be the play-by-play announcer for the NFL Network for the Thursday Night and Saturday Night games.

Papa will replace Bryant Gumbel who left the job after the 2007 season.

Despite getting the new job, Papa will continue to call the New York Giants games on the radio.

Papa will work with Cris Collinsworth and they will begin work together on November 6, when the Denver Broncos travel to Cleveland to take on the Browns.
