The Philadelphia Eagles traded away long time starting quarterback Donovan McNabb to pave way for quarterback Kevin Kolb.

According to ProFootballTalk.com, the inevitable next step has happened as Kolb signed a new deal that will pay him $12 million over the next two years.

That isn’t a bad deal considering that top quarterbacks in the National Football League make in excess of $15 million.

The question is now will he live up to his two starts last year where he looked like a franchise quarterback.

In the end, anywhich way the Eagles made the right call as they were getting nowhere with McNabb.
