Zack Pearson@Zack_PearsonCorrespondent IApril 27, 2010

The Chicago Bears have acquired safety Chris Harris from the Carolina Panthers.

The trade is believed to be in the final stages.

From Chris Harris' official Twitter account (@ChrisHarrisNFL) "Breaking News- I will be traded to Chicago Bears. Carolina you have been great and deeply missed."

The Bears are likely to be giving up a linebacker and a possible draft pick. Jamar Williams and Hunter Hillenmeyer are the likely candidates to be in this deal.

Harris played a couple seasons with the Bears and was traded in 2007. Harris will be an upgrade for the Bears defense, which struggled all last season.
