The Dallas Cowboys training camp is in eight days! Football season is just around the corner and I am filled with excitement and curiosity about the Cowboys season.

Due to prior commitments in San Antonio, the Cowboys will go to Oxnard, California for their training camp this year. The dates are July 25-August 12. If you can't be there, be sure to watch the HBO series, Hard Knocks, as they follow the Cowboys during their training camp.

If you happen to be able to attend the camp, please contact me and let me know. If you have pictures, I would love to share them on my blog.

Things I will be looking out for during the training camp:

Rookie Running Backs: How will Felix Jones adapt to the NFL? How will the Cowboys use him in the offense? Will Tashard Choice see time on the field as well to spell Barber?

Defense: The front seven should will be another strong unit, but will Tank Johnson move up and take the starting nose tackle position? If that happens, Jay Ratliff could possibly take Marcus Spears' place.

How much improvement will Zach Thomas make in the linebackers?

Will the secondary gel together into one unit and be a strong point for the Cowboys?

Wide Receivers: How is Isaiah Stanback's progress coming along? Can Patrick Crayton provide some consistent play? Miles Austin or Sam Hurd, who is progressing better and will either of them move ahead of Crayton?

Those are just three things I will be looking at during the training camp. I believe the offense will be another strong point for this team. I just hope that they get the execution down, and learn how to finish strong.
