Yes it is extremely early to be predicting the 2011 NHL Entry Draft but, I thought it would be fun to just examine on the top prospects as of right now. We all know Taylor Hall, Tyler Seguin, Cam Fowler or Erik Gudbranson will go in the top 3 in this years draft but what about next year? It has already been shown that there will be some heavy talent in the first few picks of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft which will be held in Minnesota.
Sean Couturier

Wt:185 lbs
Age:17
Country: Canada
Shoots: Left
Position: Center
QMJHL Statistics:
08/09: 9 Goals, 22 Assists, 31 Points, +24
09/10: 41 Goals, 55 Assists, 96 Points, +62
Sean Couturier is expected to be in the top 3 for the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. He posted an incredible 41 goals & 96 points in the QMJHL at just the age of 17. So far, he has been the center of attention in terms of prospects and as of right now and from my knowledge I predict him to go 2nd overall in the 2011 NHL Draft in Minnesota.

Adam Larsson

Adam Larsson is a big and steady defensemen and is the top prospect from Sweden. He has also got lots of attention from scouts and is already ranked to be in the top 3 if not maybe number 1. My prediction, Adam Larsson goes 1st overall in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins
Pos: C
Shoots: L
Height: 6'0

Birthdate: 1993-04-12
Hometown: Burnaby, BC
WHL Statistics:
08/09: 2 Goals, 2 Assists, 6 Points, 5 Games Played
09/10: 24 Goals, 41 Assists, 65 Points, 67 Games Played
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins rounds out the top three early prospects report. Hopkins is a quick centre-men who shows a lot of potential. He has recorded 71 career points in 72 career games in the WHL but I don't think he'll go above Couturier or Larsson. I predict him to go 3rd overall.
