Brown University Star David Howard Drafted

Hugh ShannonContributor IApril 24, 2010

After three days of picks, Brown University standout David Howard was drafted with the 241st pick in the 7th round by the Tennessee Titans.

Howard now makes the fourth active NFL player for Brown, joining NY Giants long snapper Zak D'Ossie, Seattle's Sean Morey and Indianapolis TE Colin Cloherty.

A two-time All-Ivy defensive linemen, David Howard had bigtime workouts in front of Pro scouts that obviously has paid off. Howard comes in at 6'3" and 295 lbs., and ran a 5.03- 40, the same impressive time for a lineman that size as Ndomukong Suh. Howard also had a 32 inch vertical, higher than Gerald McCoy. His 39 reps at the bench press exceeded both Suh and McCoy.

Congratulations to David Howard and best of luck with your pro career.
