The Detroit Lions did what most everyone thought they were going to do and drafted nkamudong suh with the #2 overall pick in thursday's first ever primetime nfl draft. Suh brings much needed power and run stopping ability, something the Lions have lacked for some time. It is nice to see the lions going to the defensive side of the ball. I now a true believer in coach jim schwartz and his system. I also thought mariucci and marinelli were good coaches also, for me, this time is different. A positive change is going around the lions franchise for player's and fan's alike. Detroit later traded there 34th pick and a late round pick to the Minnesota Viking's for there 30th pick, which the lions used to draft cal running back Jahvid Best. Best bring's more youth and speed to a Detroit backfield that could use some fresh leg's, especially with kevin smith coming off major knee surgery. Jahvid will compete for a starting job at rb with smith, maurice morris, dede dorsey and aaron brown. As a lifelong lions fan, i applaud the front office for this fabulous first round in the draft! Hope the rest of the draft goes as good as this! TIME TO WIN SOME GAMES LIONS!
