Awesome start to the draft for Raider fans.

Looks like we got the next Ray Lewis to protect our house.  He makes EVERYONE on defense better.  He brings a Champion mentality and swagger to boot.  Do you know what his favorite part of football is?  Hitting people!!!!

No more missed assignments or being rolled over by a running back.  Along with a few bigger LB's on his wings, Scott, Wimbley, Groves (mixed in with some 3-4 looks), on no more holes to run through.  And he loves studying film!!! (Take a hint Jamarcus!)

So what do we do with our #2.  It simply depends on how the first 6 picks fall in round two.  If there is an OL available that Cable thinks can start immediately and is valued higher than a DT on their board, they pull the trigger.

If not, expect Al to take the DT they like (Price, Cody)who will start next to Kelly and can also play NT in a 3-4.  IF they pick the DT, then expect a signing of a FA or two on the OL like Flozell, or Gaither and/or trade for Smiley or Brown.  THEY CANNOT IGNORE THE HOLES ON THE OL.  On second thought, they will definitely get another veteran lineman either way.

Then expect another OL in Round 3, maybe the center from BC and sign Mawae for a year. We will draft a QB & CB too at some point.

Sleep well Raider Nation, McClain is in the house!
