Batista's Out, Triple H Tapped For Lead Role In Upcoming WWE Film

Jason TaylorCorrespondent IApril 20, 2010

According to several wrestling websites, Triple H has replaced Batista in the lead role for WWE Studios upcoming film "Killing Karma." Several months ago, WWE issued a press release announcing that Batista would be starring in the film.

Needless to say, Batista was very unhappy upon hearing about the change.

Insiders within WWE explained that Batista was replaced because he hasn't signed a new deal with the company, and their idea of casting wrestlers in its movies is to raise the profile of its roster.

Filming has begun in New Orleans, which explains why Triple H wasn't part of WWE's European Tour.

Batista's current contract expires this summer, and he has been outspoken about looking forward to his days after wrestling, and making a successful crossover to Hollywood.

Since Triple H is firmly entrenched within WWE, he was a better investment for their cause.
