FREE CENA! FREE CENA!: The Bipolar Face Of a Company

I see we are getting heated on the blog site about the PG Era Vs The Attitude Era. Most of the hate and debate is centered around John Cena!

Yes I hate John Cena, but I didn't always! I bought his rap album...I know I know for shame! I have John Cena on my Ipod next to Nas, Jay-Z, Outkast. That is my point I loved what he was. His character had depth as a rapper, he was edgy but not yet Eminem. This was the guy that I had no problem with carrying the ball into the future.

Lets see what happen....ummmm...The Marine came out and they turn Cena into the All American American John Cena! He was perfect, never lost, always champ, "Never give up, never surrender, My shit don't stink but my movies do (12 rounds) John Cena!

I forgot that I loved this guy! My point is the face of your company should not be a bipolar figure. Sure people hated Hogan, HBK, Hart, The Rock, Austin when they were the face of the company, but you did not hear it at the shows. There weren't t-shirts in the crowd that said I hate Austin! When Cena was 1st WWE Champ and making spinning belt...everyone loved him just like Hogan, just like The Rock, just like HBK etc and the haters where few and far between. Hogan, HBK, Austin, or the Rock never had to address boos in the crowd as a face...there weren't any! Cena just needs a change in character. Come on WWE take a risk! You turned Austin heel...worked out...remember the creation of "Whut?" The Rock turned heel, HBK in DX heel worked pretty well. Hogan's heel turn OMG the biggest of all time! By keeping Cena stale you are exposing his flaws. I don't remember people saying Cena could not wrestle when he was the Dr. of Thuganomics (spelled wrong...so sue me)

You don't have to turn him heel, but do something this dude has had the same gimmick longer than Doink the Clown! The perfect time would have been around the One Night Stand ECW event when we was boooed like crazy! Nope 3 or 4 years later same guy "I am sorry I lost...I have failed...BUT I WILL NEVER LOSE AGIAN FOR THE WWE UNIVERSE! THE CHAMP IS HERE! His merchandise doesn't even change. Austin had a new shirt every month and a new phase to sell. I don't want to hate Cena...I just want something different.

By the way HUSTLE by Murs feat John Cena is still my joint and I don't care who knows it. "If it all ended tomorrow" "Know the rep" "Summer Flings" were nice joints! Cena has talent WWE. Free Cena and let him really shine! I am going to stop hating and get new shirts made up....FREE CENA! Who's with me?
