LeBron & D-Wade Together In New York: How It Could Happen
The idea of two of the NBA's biggest names moving to the same city during the same offseason sounds a littlefar-fetched but it may not be as unlikely to occur as you think.
LeBron James and Dwyane Wade are two of the best players in the league and there are a number of situations and factors that might result in the two superstars teaming up in the city that never sleeps.

New NBA Mock Draft 📝
LeBron and Wade are both competitors, two of the most intense in the association, and they are driven by the desire to win championships. The two have had several opportunities to play with each other over the past few years during the Beijing olympics in 2008 and the last six NBA all-star games dating back to 2005 and during their time on the court together they have shown chemistry and a natural ability to play well together--most notably the 2010 all-star game in which Wade was the games MVP. If the playoffs don't go as expected for James and Wade, and the Heat and Cavs fail to meet expectations, it wouldn't be too shocking if the two came to the decision that their championship hopes and dreams have a better chance of coming to fruition if they unite. Actually, it wouldn't be to suprising to see James head to New York after this season if he's able to leave Cleveland residents with their first major sports championship since 1964. New York is the only franchise that has hoarded enough salary-cap space for this summer's free agent market to be in a position to bring the two together--which brings us to the next factor that bodes well for Knick fans.
2.) The new NBA salary cap
On April 17th the league's board of governer's meeting issued a projection for the NBA's 2010-2011 salary cap at $56.1 million, approximately 2 to 3 million above what most teams had expected. The increase in salary cap space will ensure that the Knicks will have the ability to pursue two maximum salary cap free agents such as LeBron and D-Wade. There is a precedent for bringing two big time players to the same franchise during a single offseason. Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen were traded to the Boston Celtics from the Minnesota Timberwolves and Seattle Supersonics respectively during the summer of 2007. The Celtics won the NBA championship the following season.
3.) It's New York
LeBron James and Dwyane Wade are not just NBA superstars, they are marketing machines as well. There's no better place to promote yourself, and your brand, than in New York City. Also, Frank Sinatra once said "If I can make it there, I can make it anywhere" when singing about the Big Apple. New York might be just the challenge LeBron and D-Wade are looking to conquer in order to establish themselves among the greatest to ever play the game.
