The NC State Wolfpack held their second annual Kay Yow Spring Football game in front of a 25,372 at Carter-Finley Stadium.

The story of the day was how well the quarterbacks preformed, Russell Wilson did not participate as he is focusing on baseball during the football offseason. As for Mike Glennon and Daniel Imhoff, they both had a fantastic game.

Mike Glennon completed 21 of his 32 passes for 432 yards and three touchdowns, while Daniel Imhoff had less pass attempts(24) but, he also had a very good day throwing for 221 yards and three touchdowns.

Travis Leggett was a welcome surprise as he put up some nice numbers to go along with his good day, he carried the ball 21 times for 129 yards.

Some of the standout receivers were Owen Spencer and Asa Watson who both had over 100 receiving yards on the day and at least one touchdown.

The spring game usually favors offense over defense, but the defense did look like they had made some major strides from where they were last year.

Terrell Manning, one of the starters expected to be on the starting squad going into the fall had seven tackles and one sack.

While Asante Cureton and A.J. Ferguson both had seven tackles, and Nate Irving is still trying to get into football shape since his car accident only played the first half.

In my opinion the defensive backfield looked like it had improved upon it's tackling, and they wrapped up all the expected tackles expect one by Owen Spencer for a touchdown before halftime.

The amount raised by the end of the day was $21, 640, with some receipts and pledges not counted.
