Adrian Fernandez Wins ALMS Pole In Long Beach, Qualifying Recap

Adrian Fernandez put the Lola Aston Martin V12 on pole for the American Le-Mans Series race at Long Beach. Fernandez beat Simon Pagenaud for the pole by .072 seconds in qualifying on the Streets Of Long Beach in California.

Christian Bouchut in the #55 Level 5 Oreca won the pole for the LMPC Class with a fast lap of 1:17.273. Gunnar Jeannete and JR Hildebrand will lineup behind the #55, the street circuits can be a challenge for drivers but make it very exciting for race fans ecspecially at Long Beach.

Jaime Melo took pole in GT in the Risi Competizione Ferrari his lap of 1:19.581 was fastest enough to beat Wolf Henzler in the #17 Falken Tire Porsche 911 and puts him second missing the pole by six-tenths of a second. Qualifying was very tight for all classes and the race could be a close one as well.

Jeroen Bleekemolen in the #54 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup in the Challenge Cup class he took the pole for the first time in his first ride in the ALMS GTC class. The Tequila Patron American Le-Mans Series from the Streets Of Long Beach can be seen on Speed Saturday night at 8pm eastern.
