The NFL Draft and the lead up has become pretty standard in today's world.
But what if the NFL Draft order was reversed?
Could the players drafted fall down on board quicker? Could players be swept up earlier?
Well, today is the day, as for I'm going to personally go through each team as if the pick in this year's draft has been reversed. Starting with 32 as 1, and 1 as 32.
These are picks 1-12 while the last 20 will be released tomorrow.
This is all for fun, hope you enjoy.
Wow, what a surprise selection you may say, but lets review the stats
New Orleans have two pass-rushers name worthy; the newly added Alex Brown from Chicago and seasoned veteran Charles Grant.
While they are both getting up there in age, a replacement is in need for New Orleans and why not go grab the best defensive end prospect early and shock teams (see Tyson Jackson as No. 3 pick last year) and notice a reach for Morgan is possible.
Along with that defensive coordinator, Greg Williams, could utilize the defensive end from Georgia Tech and even use him as a linebacker if need be.
With the second selection in the NFL reverse draft the Colts select offensive tackle Russell Okung out of Oklahoma State.
Okung simply runs with the opportunity to block for Peyton.
The Colts have one pressing need, a physical presence on the line, and simply put that's what Okung would bring to the team.
Well, now we have a Favre replacement, ey?
While cornerback is a need for Minnesota, Sam Bradford, the best QB in this year's class, would be hard to pass up in this reverse order.
Are you shocked? I'm not.
Well, aren't these lucky Jets getting luckier?
They just landed the best prospect in this year's draft in general, and while they do have no problem landing player, they are getting up in age, and Suh could be the steal at fourth overall in this year's Reverse.
Jets have added the nicely dressed man to their already potent team.
Isn't that a coincidence?
LT was drafted fifth overall in 2001, and went onto being the franchise for years. Will lightning strike twice?
I sure do believe so and the Chargers made the easiest selection of the day.
Wave to crowd in that massive screen in Cowboys stadium Eric, the Cowboys have added you.
The next Ed Reed is on the Cowboys everyone. Let the press know, Jerry Jones has selected the next Ed Reed.
On a serious note, safety is a need on the roster, and may not be the most pressing need, but why pass up on a talent like him?
The loss of Dansby hurts, so Arizona wastes no time replacing him with future pro bowler, Rolando McClain.
One of the most obvious selections.
Tired of sitting Dez?
Well its time to get up and join your new team, the Baltimore Ravens.
The book is now closed on the always pressing need of wide receiver in Baltimore--with Boldin and now Bryant.
Flacco is a lucky man.
The 24-and-under club has now added yet another young'n. His name is Joe.
Asante is not cutting it with that massive contract and helps create the need at corner now that Brown is gone.
Not too much of a surprise here.
Even in the wake of the Chad Clifton and Mark Tauscher re-signings, I think Trent Williams is the option at this pick.
New England is still in dire need of an every-down back. Lets just admit that all those running backs create a hassle. They get the job done, but if Mathews is an every-down guy, they could be moved for more picks--and we know how much New England loves picks.
Tank Johnson is the starter, but if McCoy falls anywhere it would be to here in this reverse draft.
The need for defensive tackle is low in this draft in the early parts, Cincy got the "steal" of the draft. Get the pun? Haha.
