As expected, the Dolphins have parted ways with wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. After trading for Brandon Marshall earlier in the week, the Dolphins were expected to move Ginn before or during the draft.

Where is he going?

The San Francisco 49ers. The exact details of the trade have not be finalized, but it is expected that the 49ers will send their fifth-round selection, #145 overall, to the Dolphins.

Ginn was the No. 9 overall pick out of Ohio State in the 2007 draft, taken two choices before San Francisco tabbed Patrick Willis.

In his three years with Miami, Ginn caught 128 passes for 1,664 yards and just five touchdowns. He was more well known as a kick returner, where he finished 13th in the league last season at 24.9 yards per kickoff return and had two touchdowns.
