Alabama Lands Sixth Commitment of 2011 Class

Parker ShieldsCorrespondent IApril 15, 2010

On Thursday, Alabama got their sixth commitment of the 2011 early recruiting class in tight end Malcolm Faciane.

The 6'6", 263-pound tight end from Picayune, Mississippi, chose the Tide over offers from Ole Miss and Southern Miss.

Although Faciane looks more like a blocking tight end, he is said to have great hands, athleticism, and decent speed, running the 40-yard dash between 4.6-4.8.

Faciane joins other Alabama commitments Shannon Brown, Brent Calloway, Daryl Collins, Marvin Shinn, and Danny Woodson Jr., in a class that is already starting to look good, even though signing day is still 10 months away.
