Elin Nordegren Calling It Quits With Tiger: What Put Her Over The Edge?

Tiger's wife has apparently had enough.

With all signs pointing to her leaving Tiger and a divorce forthcoming, we're left to wonder: what took her so long?

After a laundry list of mistresses, insincere apologies, and a weak excuse of sex addiction, Elin stood by her man for almost five months before making this decision.

So what pushed her over the edge?

1) The Commercial

What seemed like a great idea to the Nike people and a terrible idea to anybody else who saw it, Tiger's commercial where he took a quote from his father out of context allegedly sent her over the edge.

It seems like it was the straw that broke the camel's back. Or maybe she just couldn't stand all the parodies.

2) The Masters

When Tiger got caught, he vowed to step away from golf to get things straight in his life and with his family.

However, it didn't take that long for him to get back on the course, at the Masters, which caused even more publicity. If he was really concerned about his family, he would have waited even longer.

3) Trust

Whether real or in her mind, it's possible that every time Elin saw Tiger on his phone, she would immediately assume another affair. Who could blame her?

Maybe she gave it enough time before realizing she could never fully trust him again.

4) Thanksgiving Night

Many have speculated that the reason Elin has stayed with Tiger this long in the first place was because he had kept quiet the real events of Thanksgiving night.

Perhaps she feels like enough time has elapsed that she doesn't care whether or not the truth comes out, she just couldn't stand to be with him any longer.

5) The Kids

Why does any bad marriage last longer than it should? The kids.

Elin probably gave it enough time to see if she could make it work for the kids, but just realized it wasn't happening.

Reports that she left the house with the kids and a nanny indicate she has no intention of letting Tiger have custody.

Other Reasons

Were there other reasons involved that we don't know about? Is Elin ready to move on and meet somebody new? Did Tiger do anything else that could have pushed her over the edge?
