Chelsea have tabled a £48m bid with Real Madrid for their Brazilian playmaker Robinho.

The 24-year-old is unhappy that Real Madrid have focused their attention in the close season on their pursuit of Cristiano Ronaldo, who, if he does eventually manage to worm his way out of his contract at Manchester United, will effectively be filling in Robinho's position in the team.

It is believed that Real will agree to his move if the Ronaldo situation is swiftly brought to a successful close.

Robinho does not want to be used as a bargaining tool in any bid Real Madrid may be ready to make to sign Cristiano Ronaldo.

"Now I am only thinking about Madrid, I am not prepared to enter into the operation to sign Cristiano."

He feels Scolari has a lot more to offer him.

"He (Scolari) knows me well; we could be a success at Chelsea."

  1. Would be a great addition to the Premier League. Fantastic skill, electric pace and great vision.
Hopefully Newcastle might jump in and hijack the deal, ha,ha!

  2. i think he would be perfect for chelsea. good coverage salaar.

  3. It would be a sad move I wish him to stay in La Liga for some time yet.

  4. Has anyone noticed that its tagged under fantasy?
Anyways I kind of doubt he would leave Madrid yet anyway.

  5. Apparently Barca are interested in signing him as well.

  6. Over rated in my opinion

  7. I don't think Barcelona would get him nor would Real sell him to Barca. I really hope he doesn't leave for a long time. We have watched him grow in Real, and he truly has become one of the favorites. Not only has he matured, but we can see how he has developed absolute chemistry with the likes of Guti (Guti just knows where Robinho is on the pitch), and his compatriot on the left side of the pitch in Marcelo. If Marcelo develops to be the player he is labeled to be, then Madrid could have one of the best offensive left side of the world. I do want C. Ronaldo to play at Real but the team that the manager has built last year is built for the likes of Robinho rather than C. Ronaldo. I hope he stays at least one more year because I want to see how far this team reaches in the Champions league.
