A deal has been made between by the Miami Dolphins to acquire wide receiver Brandon Marshall from the Denver Bronco’s. Miami is giving up a second round pick in next week’s NFL draft for Marshall. The Dolphins are also supposedly giving up a second round pick in the 2011 draft as well to the Bronco’s for Marshall ’s services. The Dolphins have had 15 wide receivers catch a pass over the last 3 seasons because this is a position that they have had problems with.

Putting Brandon Marshall on the Miami Dolphins football team will only help strengthen their receiving core that has not been reliable the last few seasons. The Dolphins receiving core has been so bad that  Marshall himself has more touchdowns and 100 yard games than all of the Dolphins receivers have had the last 3 seasons combined. Marshall is set to head to Miami for a physical that he must pass. If he passes the physical he will likely sign one of the biggest contracts in the NFL for the wide receiver position.

The headline that the Broncos trade Brandon Marshall to the Miami Dolphins has caught many by surprise since he is one of the best wide receivers in the game. However this trade gives the Bronco’s lots of power going into the draft. Denver now has three picks in the first two rounds in next Thursday’s NFL draft. Brandon Marshall put up big numbers last season with the Bronco’s, 10 touchdowns from 101 caught passes.
