The Weekly Top Ten: Future Stars of WWE & TNA To Look Out For

This week I decided to do something a little different for the slides. Instead of an all-time great list, I will take a look into the future and try to project the next wave of wrestlers who are on the path to stardom.
This list will contain a variety of wrestlers in different stages in their career. Some are former World Champions who are on the edge of becoming great, others are on the right track and are awaiting the opportunity.
With any list, questions will form about why a person made the list and why another person did not. If you have any questions or feel I might have left some one out, let me know in the comment section.
If enough people agree with you, it might be comment's pick in my next slide.
With that out of the way, let the top ten begin.
10. Ezekiel Jackson
Big Zeke has had a tough time after winning the ECW Championship from Christian earlier in the year.
He was scheduled to appear at Wrestlmania, but plans got cancel after his father passed away, causing him to skip the event and help his family cope with the passing.
Jackson now has to deal with a knee injury that will have him out for 3 to 6 months due to a awkard landing in a match versus Kane during the WWE's European Tour.
The fact still remians that once Big Zeke gets settled and can recover from the whirl wind of issues in his life right now, he has all the tools needed to win a U.S Title or maybe even a World Title some day.
9. Samoa Joe
This guy is already over with the TNA crowd however problems in booking and other issues seem to have always hampered his push to the top of TNA.
It goes without saying that he is one of the best technical wrestlers in the company, but he has always struggled with finding a place in the TNA that could help him reach the same level as A.J Styles.
Samoa Joe has been a force in what ever promotion he has went to, and if given the time and a decent storyline; the "Samoan Submission Machine" could dominate TNA once again.
Let's hope they are repackaging him the right way during his time off.
8. Abyss
The Monster" Abyss has been getting push to the limit by Hulk Hogan and Eric Bishoff. He already seems to be on the path to stardom.
Like Samoa Joe, Abyss has always seemed to be on the cusp of becoming a house hold name in the company. He has had his fair share of battles with a lot of different people in TNA and has gained some experience.
Abyss is improving in many areas and he could easily be in the upper middle card of TNA, competing for the top title every couple of months, and winning the belt some time in the near future.
7. Kofi Kingston
Kofi Kingston is a great athlete with a lot of promise. He has developed into a solid wrestler that has all the tools needed for a World Championship Title run.
The one nagging issue that is keeping Kofi from reaching the top is the in ring botches. Once he controls the amount of mistakes he makes, Kofi without a doubt will be on the one road path to stardom.
If his feud with Orton is the beginnig, then I would expect us fans to see a lot more great moments come from this young talent in the coming years.
6. John Morrison
John Morrison is one of the few stars from the Tough Enough series to find success in the WWE. He has battled through the Tough Enough curse and has carved out a nice WWE career for himself.
He is another wrestler similar to Kofi Kingston, whose career depend on whether or not he can control the botches in his match.
Another knock on Morrison is his mic skills, however let's not forget that he stood strong as a former ECW Champion and delivered some hard hitting promos with The Miz when they were a tag team.
The best quality about Morrison is that he has shown the ability to put on good matches in many different match types. From ladders to Elimination Chamber matches, John Morrison has proven himself to be a well balance wrestler and up and coming star.
5. Beer Money
I must admit, when I first saw Robert Roode and James Storm I thought: "here comes the poor man's APA." I now see how wrong I was, they are much more then that.
Roode and Storm has the potential to be the best tag team to come out of this new wave of stars and groups. They are clearly one of the best in TNA.
They fit each other to the T and are a perect complement to each other in the ring and out. Watch out, the future of tag team wrestling is coming and they are here to stay.
4. Desmond Wolfe
Wolfe has competed all over the world in many different promotions under his other ring name, Nigel McGuinness. He is one of the most talented workers to come out of the Indy scenes in awhile.
In ROH he set himself apart from his competition by being a hard worker and holding on to the ROH title for 545 days. During this span he faced Bryan Danielson and Chris Hero, both ROH legends in their own right.
To put it simple, Wolfe still has potential that has not yet been unleashed. He has all the makings to hold TNA World Title, but like a lot of other wrestlers he is waiting for the opportunity.
If his future is anything like his past, then we can expect plenty more accomplishments to ring loudly as his future progresses.
3. The Miz
Just face it folks he is "Awesome" and you would be hard pressed to find some one who has improved more in the ring over the last five years then The Miz.
He went form reality tv star to pro wrestler and has a chance to be one of the faces of the WWE. He has showed us the ability to hold his own in a match and be a threat to hold a singles title.
You can also make a sound argument that he has some of the best mic skills out of any one on the list.
Whether you love him or hate him, The Miz has proven that with time he can do just about anything he sets his mind to. Given him some more time and he maybe just maybe, might become a World Champion.
Because he really is "Awesome"
2. D'Angelo Dinero
Starting out as a law enforcement officer and later a boxer, Dinero's stock has risen like no other before him in TNA. He is easily one of the most recognizable faces in the company and has developed a every growing fanbase.
The thing that separates him from other wrestlers in TNA is his mic skills. Out of all the wrestlers and managers in the company, he is by far one of the best in delivering promos and interviews.
D'Angelo Dinero has also added to his boxing background by incorporating more mat base wrestling and has developed some technicals skills over the years by training in several different promotions.
To put it simply, "The Pope is Pimpin" and will continue to do so until he gains the TNA World Title.
The Straight Edge Society
You want to talk about potential, then look no further then CM Punk. He has shown us that he can be the fan favorite every one loves, or the heel every one loves to hate. He does both characters well and could be the top heel in the company or the top face.
You add with it a talented young up and coming Diva in Serena and a vet in Luke Gallows who has worked around the WWE environment; and you have the foundation to a very bright future.
This has the makings to be one of the most entertaining and dominating factions in the coming years. No person in the WWE or TNA can generate more crowd reaction than CM Punk and crew.
Their promos have been spot on, the selling of their gimmick has been excellent, and the active recruitment for new memebers have caused fans to speculate about who the next memebers will be.
Just accept it, the future is Straight Edge.

Comment's Pick: Future Hall Of Famers
I like it when most of you agree with my picks. One of the few exceptions came when Kaizar Cantu mentioned Mick Foley.
This pick is more for his out of ring role then his in ring one.
Foley made some sporadic appearances in the WWE, during the last decade, but found a way to make an impact.
He was Commisioner during the Angle, HHH, and The Rock feuds and always found a way to make light of an intense situation.
At Wrestlemania 17, Foley served as ref during the Vince vs. Shane McMahon Street Fight.
In 2003 he was presented with the Hardcore Championship, cementing his legacy as an all-time great.
He later came back to the WWE and feuded with Randy Orton and Evolution before heading to TNA.
