Sorry about the delay here, folks. Some major chances were made in my life, but guess what? I'm BAAAAAACCCCKKKKKK!!!
Coming to you now from WASHINGTON, DC! No, this does not mean I'm going to convert to being a Capitals fan. I've got a new job down here (unfortunately, it's not hockey related), and I'm ready to get this thing going again. There is SO MUCH stuff that we missed on this go around, and I guess it's safe to say that I covered the Stanley Cup Finals and the Free Agency better last year (ha ha ha...yeah). But it is, thus far, a summer for the hockey fanatics to go bonkers in terms of who went where, and who did what, and the return of the mullet. Yes, the mullet! Barry Melrose is back in the saddle again. Unbelievable! I'm so looking forward to watching him win a Stanley Cup ring this coming season (omg lol rotfl...yeah, was never good at the online short talk). That, of course, my friends, was what we call sarcasm. New ownership with lots of money being thrown everywhere (and leap frogging Jay Feaster's opinions) and getting a name coach from the old days (and the new days of ESPN), the first pick in the draft (Steve-o Stamkos), this all sounds great and all, but will it add up to an immediate Stanley Cup?
I won't answer that until the podcast.
The cliffhanger, you have to love it. Another team you can't go without talking about is the Chicago Blackhawks, so I will have all that and more in the next edition of the Hockey Rant with the Rant Man, David Stearns.
