The Good, and Bad Of Pro Wrestling
mike bellApr 13, 2010
First let me start off by saying im a huge fan of WWE, TNA, and ROH.
I just wanted to write about how I feel about the wrestling business
today. Like everything else in life, there's the good, and the bad. I
want to start by giving my views on the good and bad of the three
company's mentioned.
Lets start with everyones favorite company (joke) TNA. The best thing
TNA has going for them is the quality of matches they have. If you
compare the knockouts to the divas, they're lightyears ahead. The main
events in TNA are better, depending on who's in them. Aj styles is one
of the best all around performers in the world, and deserves to be TNA
world champion. The problem is the title reign came way too late. The
tag team division is also better than WWE, but that goes without saying,
seeing how WWE doesn't really care about the tag teams they have. With
one every good, they're two problems with TNA. Im not going to spend too
much time on the booking because we all know that's a huge problem. What
I want to talk about is TNA being in a "war" with themselves. TNA needs
to realize that they're far from the level of WWE. Their main goal is to
beat WWE, and that's not going to happen, until they worry about fixing
the problems with the product. I say, move back to Thursday night and
start over. Go live every Thursday this time, and stop putting over guys
in their late 40's 50's, and even 60's. TNA will die if they don't step
up big time.
Now as for WWE, they need to work on getting RAW back to where it
once was. It just not that interesting, and sometimes barely watchable.
A lot of people will blame the predictability, and the uninteresting tv
on the PG era, which, may have some truth to it, but is not the only
reason. I'm not a huge fan of the pg era but being able to watch the
program with anyone is a plus. The stoppage of blood, and the time
honored bladejob, is a little much but, understandable. I do believe
they go a little overboard when someone has a small cut, and that needs
to stop, I mean even pg shows have blood. In certain storylines blood is
a must. The good about WWE is the pushing of younger talent. I
personally like that Jack Swagger is the World Champion, but he has to
prove that he is main event worthy. I can't say enough about how good I
think Smackdown is. I think when Orton comes over to SD he should be a
tweener and not fully face. I expect Harts to win the Tag titles, and
make it mean something, though showmiz have been pretty good. I'd like
to publicly state, I think Michael Cole is a prick.
Anyway, I can't say anything bad about ROH except, they need a real
tv deal. They have some of the greatest talent in the world, but no one
has the HD net to see them every Monday at 8. I don't think they should
change anything, and if you haven't seen ROH yet, I think you should
Youtube ROH. That's all for now people, thanks for reading... btw I
support the banning of the chairshots to the head, unprotected.
