After four years and a championship, Shaquille O'Neal is still critical of former teammate Kobe Bryant. A video weeks ago showed Shaq freestyle rapping. He took shots at Kobe. He attacked Kobe and others—the chorus was: “You know how I be. Last week, Kobe couldn't do without me.”

This, of course, was a week after Kobe's Lakers lost to the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals, four games to two. O'Neal and Bryant last played together in 2003-04 and went to the finals together. O'Neal went on to rap "I'm the difference between first place and last place."

I believe it is being blown out of proportion. Experts are saying it is extremely inappropriate and out of line. I don’t think it should be that big of a deal. It's a rap battle. In rap battles, people make vulgar jokes about people and don't want it to seem hurtful. It's a joke and it shouldn't be viewed as a continuation of a four-year war between Bryant and Shaquille.

Shaq also said “Kobe, tell me how my ass tastes.” It got to a point where it was below a rap battle and you could tell the Big Diesel was just joking around. With that said, the public views it as “serious.”

"I was freestyling. That's all," O'Neal said. "It was all done in fun. Nothing serious whatsoever. That is what MCs do. They freestyle when called upon. I'm totally cool with Kobe. No issue at all." What Shaq said is actually true. During rap battles, people joke around and will say the strangest things, because “it's all in fun.” Shaq's rap is viewed as infamous to the public, and it was just a joke.

  1. "it's like patrick ewing havin more rings than me"...best part of the thing...or maybe "i got a vasectomy so now i can't breed 'em"

    1. Lmao. that was hilarious i dont y people catch feelings

  2. Shaq was simply proving that no matter how much money you earn in life, you can never buy class. The "it was just a bit of fun" defense is a great one; I remember some boys back in my high school days who used the same line after gang raping a defenseless, mentally-retarded girl. Classy. Go Shaq! You da man, nig!
