Wide Receiver Santonio Holmes has had his fair share of off the field troubles, which have led to him getting traded to the New York Jets.

Holmes is getting a fresh start in the Big Apple, which may or may not help him eventually correct his issues, but it is a first step towards redemption.

There are a handful of other players in the NFL that could also use a fresh start due to legal troubles, accusations, or other off the field issues that have interfered with the game of football.

The following list is comprised of the top troublemakers who may get a fresh start and a change of venue, whether they like it or not.

Ben Roethlisberger, QB, Pittsburgh Steelers

You may be thinking "Whoa, what are you talking about?"

But let's face the facts, the Steelers just made an example of Holmes by sending the former Super Bowl MVP away, and this trade was also a wake up call to Big Ben to get it together off the field.

If Big Ben cannot get this message, then look for a change of scenery sooner rather than later for him as well.

Marshawn Lynch, RB, Buffalo Bills

95644571

With the emergence of Fred Jackson as a solid starting running back Lynch has been made disposable, but for the right price.

The Bills will not give Lynch away to any team who makes an offer, but with his history of association with anything from a hit-and-run to marijuana possession, he could really use a nice new view from his living room window, especially since Bills fans are getting fed up with his terrible decision making.

Brandon Marshall, WR, Denver Broncos

93123503

Outside of amazing athletic ability, Marshall is nothing more than drama, drama, and more drama.

He might be "The Diva" in the NFL today.

His problems range from causing stress for coaches and teammates to legal troubles such as a DUI charge and battery.

Since he is at ends with coach Josh McDaniels, Marshall could benefit the most from a relocation, if a team is willing to give up a ransom for him.

Shaun Rogers, DL, Cleveland Browns

84059866

Rogers' recent debacle of carrying a loaded and concealed gun into an airport is not the first time he has had a legal issue, even though he has been able to stay clean for the last several years.

In the past, Rogers was accused of assaulting a stripper (charges were dropped) and he tested positive for an illegal substance, which his agent claimed was a result of his weight suppressant medicine.

With Mike Holmgren and Eric Mangini both supporters of very high character players, look for Rogers to have to get a new state license and plates once his legal issues are over.

Jeff Reed, K, Pittsburgh Steelers

Once one of the cleanest teams in the NFL, the Steelers have had to face many off the field issues with different players such as Plaxico Burress, Holmes, Big Ben, and Reed.

Reed has had his fair share of issues with disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

A known party boy (you can Google some of his party pics), if he cannot clean it up, then he too will find himself in a fresh start before he knows it.

Donte Whitner, S, Buffalo Bills

Whitner

Whitner has been somewhat of a let down for the Bills due to his on field performance, but even more of a letdown was when he got arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest outside of a club in Downtown Cleveland.

Whitner may be on his last leg with a new coach and front office in place and he too could find his way to the local UHaul to start the move to a new city.
