Say What? Jonathan's top 5 NBA MVP candidates
Here it is my Top 5 MVP candidates. I would have done it sooner but I felt like I had to wait until the season was almost over. In my top 5 you will find some surprises. I have put in the 5 most deserving candidates. If you think there is somebody on this list that is missing make sure to leave a comment about it. Lets with #5
5. Joe Johnson
He is a great scorer, a good passer, a great leader, and arguably the most overlooked NBA superstar in the NBA. He may no be as flashy as Wade, James, or Bryant. But the fact is he gets the job done. He is second on his team in in steals, he leads the team in assists, and scoring.
4. Deron Williams
Right Now the best point guard in the league. He is second in the league in assists and is second on his team in scoring. Little known fact he is the only first round pick in the Utah Jazz's starting lineup. one of the most consistent players in the league and arguably one of the best leaders in the NBA. The Utah Jazz are in 4th place and could get the #2 seed in the west all because of Deron Williams excellent play.
3. Dwyane Wade
Charles Barkley "Dwyane Wade is Michael Jackson, and everyone else is Tito ". Can you say funniest quote of the decade? Yet no matter how funny and/or jacked up it sounds, it's true. Dwyane Wade has carried this Miami heat team on his back all season long. Every one except Dwyane Wade has been inconsistent and if you think about it the Net's probably should have a better record than the heat right now, But the heat are sitting in sixth right now all in part of Dwyane Wade's play.
2. Lebron James
You were probably thinking I had Lebron James number one. They have the best record in the league all because of Lebron James! Not exactly, The entire team has been pretty consistent all year and you look at the few games that Lebron James hasn't played in the team has held up pretty well without him, of course they will need James in the playoffs. You look at James season and it's been pretty spectacular but when you consider the play of the team then you probably would be a little hesitant to give him the #1 spot as well.
1. Kevin Durant
I predicted the Thunder would barely make the playoffs. Now they are about to get 50 wins and possibly the sixth seed in west. Kevin Durant is the reason for the Thunders success along with the Russell Westbrook & Coach Scott Brooks. But when you look at the Thunder they probably wouldn't be were they are right now without Kevin Durant. Kevin Durant is only in his third year and leads the league in scoring with 30 points per game. The scary thing? He's only 21, that astonishing for someone his age to do what he is doing. The Thunder are the youngest team in the league, but one of the scariest teams in the west because of Kevin Durant.
