Nats call up Bernadina; Mock coming to 'Cuse
There was one bat noticeably missing from the Syracuse Chiefs lineup today, that of red-hot outfielder Roger Bernadina.  The 25-year-old Netherlands native was called up by Washington this afternoon after a 6-for-15 performance at the plate in three games for the Chiefs.

Bernadina homered in the bottom of the ninth on opening day with the Chiefs down to their last two outs.  Syracuse went on to win that game and the next two before losing without Bernadina this afternoon.

Mock was shaky in his season debut against the Mets on Friday.  He allowed nine base runners and two earned runs before getting yanked in the fourth inning.  The former Arizona Diamondbacks draft pick was dominant in 13 appearances for Syracuse last year, winning five of six decisions while allowing less than one base runner per inning and saving two games.
