I have put together four mock drafts from experts with my evaluation of each pick, plus my own selection. Each pick would help the Jaguars next season, but some more than others. Which expert's pick is the best for the Jags? Feel free to leave your own "expert" opinion in the comments.
So let's begin with NFL.com analyst Charles Davis.
Despite the signing of Aaron Kampman, many still believe defensive End is a major need for the Jaguars. It would be hard to pass up on Morgan, he will likely be the best talent available at the 10th pick.
This pick seems like a stretch. Few mocks have Thomas going before 15 and the Jaguars have other needs to fill. But Jacksonville would be getting a play making safety, which would really help the defense.
Adding a force in the middle would not be a bad idea. McClean, a middle linebacker, is considered a top ten talent and would help the run defense tremendously.
Again, the need of a defensive end is lessened by the signing of Kampman, but Pierre-Paul's unique size and athleticism make him hard to pass on.
He has limitless potential, and could prove to be a Pro Bowl player. A player with his talent would usually not fall this far in a draft, so the Jaguars get a bargain here.
Morgan is easily the most polished pas rusher in this year's draft. He doesn't posses the "freakish" ability Pierre-Paul has, but he is a much "safer" pick. with Kampman and Derrick Morgan the Jaguars rush will become very formidable.
