Breakout Player of 2010: Jermichael Finley

Jake WinieckiCorrespondent IIIApril 10, 2010

We already know that Jermichael Finley is now going to be the starting tight end for the Green Bay Packers next season and that alone should boost his stats pretty nicely. However, after seeing what he did against Arizona in the playoffs, compiling the second most receiving yards in a playoff game for a TE, there's no doubt in my mind that he will have a big season this year.

It's definitely not far fetched to say he could make a Pro Bowl appearance, and I think that he can become a matchup nightmare for teams without an elite safety to cover him. I don't think he will get over 1,000 yards because there are so many other guys being thrown to, but it definitely wouldn't surprise me if he did. I really wouldn't be surprised if he breaks a few team records for a tight end, which he almost even did last year.

Overall, I think Finley can become a beast, if he isn't that already. I think he can make the Pro Bowl this upcoming season and become a go-to guy on this offense. Pair him with all of the other Packers receivers, and Aaron Rodgers must be psyched for this upcoming season!  Well, as long as someone can actually block for him.
