We’ve spent some time this week discussing many of the new faces this spring on the BYU football team. Today we will devote some space to the guys yet to arrive in Provo that have may a chance see the field for the Cougars this fall.
On Wednesday the doctors cleared incoming true freshman Ross Apo to practice. Ross graduated from high school early and, though already enrolled at BYU, has been recovering from shoulder surgery during spring ball. Apo will join several other incoming freshman this fall who hope to make a contribution on the field and may be able to help solidify some positions the BYU coaching staff is concerned about.
Question marks at inside linebacker, free safety and the defensive line may provide some opportunities for some very talented players that we won’t get to see until fall drills.
