Affliction Banned is going to be a great event. The card is stacked with possible great matchups. Yes, next Saturday Tim Sylvia faces a mountain of a task when he fights a man who many consider to be the best heavyweight in the world.
Tim is a mountain of a man and I feel he is up to the task. He's a dark horse, a long shot, I know. But one of these days that horse is going to gallop! No more trotting to the finish line just in time to escape Fedor's clinch and keep that long jab in his face.
- B/R Ticket Guide
If Tim can do that he stands a good chance of getting the upset victory. He has decent boxing skills and technique and that's his only route to victory in this fight (punch and move /jab and move). He has a puncher's chance if he can somehow keep the fight standing and not end up on the ground.
The upset would also not look good for Fedor in another way. Guys like me would be saying that if he can't beat Tim Sylvia then he has no business in the ring with Randy Couture.
And hopefully that would end all the hoopla that so many of us are tired of hearing about. So let's go, Tim. Step up to the plate and hit that grand slam to win the world series. I'll be rooting for you, underdog!

Sylvia is going to get rocked! Fedors stand up and ground game is far more advanced then Sylvia's. Sylvia's career is pretty much over, in his last fight he got beaten by Nogueira, Who Fedor beat the crap out of at Pride FC, when Nogueira was at the height of his career.
My prediction for the fight:
KO or submission in the first round

I think Fedor subs him (rear naked choke) in 2nd round...... unless a big left jab rocks Fedor(not to likely)

Thanks for checking out my article guys and i agree with all of your comments /anything is possible in a fight...And if tim fights lazy like he did against randy and nog (had nog hurt at least 3 times and didnt go for th ko)..he is going back home to maine with another loss and likely to become a stepping stone for younger dudes coming up..or maybe he will just hang up the gloves..who knows..lol

Luckily you are so right about MMA, anything can happen; we just have to wait to see what does. Just like Scott Smith and Pete Sell; a horse on it's last legs may get in a good strike as it is going down.
