If You Thought "Big" Ben Roethlisberger Was Big Last Year...

Jeremy KohlmanContributor IJuly 13, 2008

Ben Roethlisberger had a career best 32 TDs in 2007. And that was with an offensive line that gave up 50+ sacks last season. This season, Ben does not have Pro Bowl guard Alan Faneca protecting him, and the offensive line is already under major construction.

This all makes for a depressing season. However, there is the one weapon that no one counts on: Ben Roethlisberger.

He has an ability to shake off sacks and extend plays. And this year, he has even more weapons to work with.

Ben now has Mewelde Moore, Rashard Mendenhall, and Limas Sweed. Both Moore and Mendenhall have great hands out of the backfield, not to mention they are both quality runners. And Limas Sweed brings a tall option for the open field and end zone the Steelers have lacked since the departure of Plaxico Burress.

Big news everybody. Big Ben is going to be bigger and better in 2008.
